Deborah Bailay, Director
A professional ballet teacher for over 25 years, Deborah was on the faculty of the Washington School of Ballet under Director Mary Day intermittently from 1982-1998 and directed Central Maryland School of Ballet for ten years. Her students have joined ballet and modern companies including BalletTech, Joffrey II, Ballet West, Atlanta Ballet, the Juilliard School, Washington Ballet, Nashville Ballet and the Metropolitan Opera Ballet. Miss Bailay has many, many artistic daughters and now is enjoying a new generation of artistic granddaughters! Presently, she is on the faculty at Arts Gate Center teaching ballet to ages 4-12, and she also teaches Adult Ballet at New Dance Group.
Elizabeth Douglas, Teaching Artist
Elizabeth has been on IGA’s faculty for six years. She received a M.A. in Dance and Dance Education from New York University.
Marian Hyun, Teaching Artist
Marian has been on IGA’s faculty for five years. She received a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College.
Erin Jennings, Teaching Artist
Erin has an M.A. in Dance and Dance Education from New York University. She has been on IGA’s faculty for five years and studied at Miss Bailay’s school in Maryland in the early ‘90s.
Kimberly Craigie-Blonn, Consultant
Kimberly received a B.A. in Fine Arts from The Juilliard School. She was on the IGA faculty for nine years and now serves as a consultant. She began her dance training at age 4 with Miss Bailay.
